A Business license is a source of revenue for cities. It is necessary to obtain a business license to operate a business in all cities. When obtaining a business license a zoning check will be made to see if your business fits within the zoning regulations.

When considering a space for lease it is important to check with the planning department of the city where the space is located to find out if the business is within the zoning regulations.


ZONING

To obtain a business license the business must be within the zoning regulations. If the business is not within the zoning a Conditional Use Permit can be issued. A Conditional Use Permit can take time and money. Check with the planning department first!
